“YOUR” UP Honor Flight Cycling Team will be doing their fundraising “Ride of Honor” on  August 10 -11, 2022, as they cycle 200 miles, starting at the Veteran’s War Memorial at the top of Pine Mountain in Iron Mountain and finishing at the American Legion Park in St. Ignace. We are a group of 8 cyclists dedicated to help fund the cost of one UP Honor Flight and send our deserving veterans to Washington D.C. to visit the memorials built in their honor. 

The cost of each UP Honor Flight now exceeds $100,000. We have set a fundraising goal of $125,000. A total of 5 honor flights are scheduled between now and the end of 2023. With a wait list of over 400 deserving veterans and each flight able to accommodate 85 individuals, fundraising efforts like ours are vital to the continued success of UP Honor Flight. The financial needs to serve our current waitlist of veterans will be between $500,000- $600,000.
